Owen Davey's latest artwork adorns a 40-metre-long hoarding for King's College right in the heart of Cambridge. This latest collaboration with We Made This Design Studio, brightens the street of Cambridge whilst encouraging passers by to stop and read about the important changes the college are implementing.
The hoardings illustrate some of the ways the college is trying to respond to the climate crisis, from conducting fundamental research, to protecting local ecosystems, while acknowledging that there's still much more to be done.
Owen's colourful vector illustrations allow a colourful interjection to the information provided on the hoardings. His work draws the public in, encouraging them to stop and read about the important issues the college are trying to tackle. Each information point has it's own curated QR code that allows the user to interact and delve deeper into the issue.
